Despite what you may think we have been using our time wisely, (Shireen you’d be proud of our cultural excursions!) On Sunday we headed to Downtown LA to have a look around whilst it was quiet, avoiding the mad weekday rush of people and traffic… problem was it was perhaps a little too quiet for our liking. We saw some awesome buildings though, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, but guess what… Gaz wasn’t having any of it!
We also took a trip out to a farmers market. They have them all over the place here, and are great to pick up a cheap lunch or dinner. We did end up in the Beverly Hills Farmers Market though so probably lacking full authenticity.
Then best of all, we drove up to the Griffith Observatory to view the whole of LA at sunset (who said romance was dead? It’s amazing what you can do when you take the boy out of Yorkshire) The observatory it pretty much next to the Hollywood sign, up in the hills, so you can see right out to the ocean and for miles overland past the city. I can’t recommend this enough if you come to the area, it’s breathtaking (see next post)
