Check Out My Favourite UK Holiday Destinations

You might not think it, but the UK is one of the world’s best holiday destinations. It has so much to offer, and so many different areas to explore. Sure, you might think I’m more into my exotic trips abroad. And for the most part you’d be right. However, I have to be honest; I do love holidaying domestically in the UK as well. So I’ve compiled a list of some of my favourite UK holiday destinations. Whether you’re a native or a tourist, these places should all have something great to offer you.

Pembrokeshire

South West Wales has some of the most beautiful scenery in the whole of the UK. Pembrokeshire was recently named as one of the top holiday destinations in Europe. And when you visit it’s not difficult to see why. There is lush, beautiful countryside, perfect for walks. There are areas of extreme natural beauty, and more beaches than you can shake a stick at. This was perfect for me as I love to surf. A boat trip around Ramsey Island is also one of the great highlights of this beautiful coastal county. If you’re thinking of heading to Wales on holiday, you shouldn’t consider anywhere but Pembrokeshire trust me!

The Lake District

When I was a kid some of my fondest memories come from family caravanning trips to the Lake District. And, having revisited more recently, I have to say the place has lost none of its charm. It’s one of the most picturesque places I’ve ever seen. With dense, green woodland, and beautiful glassy lakes it’s a paradise. The perfect place to visit if you have children, or you enjoy the great outdoors. I would recommend this as wonderful stripped-back holidaying experience. Get yourself a motorhome, and enjoy the ultimate Lake District experience. Don’t forget, you’ll need insurance from www.motorhomeinsurance.org.uk. And you’ll want to pack enough supplies with you. But doesn’t it just seem so much more fulfilling than staying in a hotel?!

London

Believe it or not, I love our capital city. Sounds odd for a country bumpkin right? But in reality, London is so vast and cosmopolitan that it has so much to offer. Now, I’m not going to lie, a holiday to London can work out pretty pricey, but it doesn’t have to! As long as you’re sensible and you do plenty of research in advance. There is so much to see and do that it’s perhaps the ultimate tourist destination in the world. London has beautiful architecture, breath-taking views, and captivating museums. Prepare for a trip to London and you can enjoy one of the most spellbinding and life-changing holidays ever.

These are just a few of the wonderful holiday destinations the UK has to offer. We should all get more excited about the opportunities our fantastic nation can offer the holidaymaker. And if none of these take your fancy, why not consider Blackpool, Norfolk, Devon or Cornwall?!
