My Top Tips For Visiting London City

If you’re preparing for a trip to London, I think I have some advice that might help. If you want to make the most of your stay, you need to plan ahead and get things right. Most people don’t plan as much as they should. If you fail to figure out what you’ll do when you get there, you will have a problem. Here are a some of my top tips for visiting London…

Forget Your Oyster Card

Do you have a contactless debit card? If you do, there is no need to buy an Oyster card now. Sure, there was once a time when everyone in London needed those little blue and white cards. Now, though, things have changed for the better. You can use your debit card on the underground. All you need to do is tap your card on the sensor (just like you would do with your Oyster card). The money will go straight out of your account, and you can save time traveling.

Visit Alternative Places

When most people go to London, they make the mistake of visiting the same old tourist attractions. If you want to see London city in-depth, you need to go further afield. Before you head to the capital, it is well worth looking up different places online. There are loads of new museums and attractions you may want to visit. If you look at the reviews online, you will find out all you need to know about these places.

Check Out New Eateries

One of the best things about London is the fact that there are always new eateries that you have to check out. Next on my hit list is Europe’s first organic and vegan Japanese restaurant, Itadaki ZenWhenever I go to London, I like to try somewhere new. If you look online before you go, you should find that there are loads of places you can try.

Download Citymapper

Traveling around the capital can be something of a nightmare. If you want to make things easy on yourself, you need to get Citymapper. The app can tell you how to get anywhere in London in minutes. It chooses the easiest route for you. All you have to do is type in your destination and it will look at the tube and the overground. I’ve found that it’s a massive help when I’m trying to get to places I don’t know well.

Always Allow Extra Time

If I could only give you one piece of advice, it would be to leave extra time for things. Everything takes longer than you expect in London. You might feel as though you have lots of time, but you need to account for traveling and eating too. Always add an extra hour to your plan. That way, you will have no issues. If you follow my tips, I am sure you will just adore your trip.
