SCUBA DIVING

Scuba Diving: The Worlds Best Locations

Scuba diving is something we had briefly discussed before we left on our travels, however Beth was pretty wary about whether she was going to like it or not. But two qualifications later, having dived in five different countries, I think we can agree this is a sport we both love. The confidence your instructor will instill in you will help you overcome any fears you may have, and once you have experienced the tranquil peace of the under water world, you’ll hunger for more adventures.

We completed our Open Water course, closely followed by our Advanced certification, whilst on Roatan with a great dive shop called Ocean Connections. Justin our instructor, from sunny Wales, was brilliant. He had racked up 8000 dives across Asia, Australia and the Caribbean, it felt like he knew everything there was to know about scuba diving.

Since being on Roatan we have logged over 30 dives. We always meet like minded people and have a “reet good laugh” after the dive. Since, we gained some experience we’re now keen to provide you with some information about Scuba Diving. If you are interested in trying it for the first time, or if your are more advanced and want to hear about the sites we have dived, get in touch.

So here’s the run down on where we have dived so far and what kind of costs and experience you can expect, as well as our favorite shops to dive with and why:

–  Roatan, Honduras

–  Little Corn, Nicaragua

–  Bocas Del Toro, Panama

–  NhaTrang, Vietnam

–  Koh Rong, Cambodia

–  Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

– Unawatuna, Sri Lanka

– Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia

What’s your favorite place to scuba dive in the world???

Hi Ross, unfortunately we missed Mexico :( But we’ve heard lots of fabulous things about the diving there, it’s definitely on the to do list! If you have any other recommendations send them over, we’re building a list of future dive sites to conquer!

Great pictures. love the site. As ye were so close, did ye do the scuba dives in the cenotes in southern Mexico? They are superb. They are caverns so no special requirements needed but the stalagmites and stalactites in the tunnels are brilliant.
